We are at it again! It’s been three years since The Buy-Out Company did our last 72 hour flip and it’s time for another one. The Buy-Out Company’s last flip was a great success and raised $106,000 for Carter’s Cause! This year our goal is a $100,000 “Flip for Education” benefitting four local and international charities: The Diar Foundation, Prairie Middle School, the Overland High School Cross Country team, and SHOE4AFRICA. The Buy-Out Company is not in it alone – this huge project is bringing together volunteers and dozens of sponsors, and we are grateful to be a part of this community project.
The house we are going to renovate is in Centennial, and our 72 hours will run from Thursday, June 14th through Saturday, June 16th. This massive undertaking will include everything from a new roof and gutters outside to new paint and tile inside … and everything in between!
Let’s take a look at how the 72 hours will break down. The first 24 hours will cover the new roof, gutters, garage door, repairs of siding and prepping the exterior for paint. Inside we will be demoing the bathrooms and the kitchen, taking out walls, putting up sheetrock and prepping for interior painting. The second 24 hours will be just as busy with painting the exterior, finishing the roof, working on landscaping and putting in a sprinkler system. Inside we will be painting, putting in new doors and trim as well as tiling all bathrooms and installing a new kitchen. The last 24 hours will be a push to the finish with landscaping and other remaining details. On the inside we will be installing cabinets and hardware, carpet, appliances, and light fixtures. Finally comes cleaning and staging.
