We officially started our 72 hour Flip for Education yesterday! There is so much work that goes into a flip like this that has to be done and ready before the 72 hour clock can start. There are required inspections, plans, and approvals that have to take place in advance to ensure quality and legality throughout the project. A lot of work has already gone into this project to get it ready to start this 72 hour Flip for Education, so we want to take a minute to thank some of our sponsors – many of whom have already put in time and effort on this house. Let’s look first at a list of a few things that had to be done before our 72 hours could start.
We had to get all the rough plumbing and electrical work completed and approved by inspectors before we could move forward. We also installed a completely new HVAC system, a new garage door, and hardwood floors throughout. We ran into lead and asbestos that had to be tested and abated before we could start on anything further. Next there were structural issues that had to be addressed and approved before the structure was deemed sound and livable. In the basement alone, we had to have five inspections for structure, plumbing, electrical, structural framing, and insulation.
So much work goes into getting a house ready to flip, and we truly appreciate all that have contributed to this project. We would like to publicly thank our sponsors who have donated their time and expertise to make all this pre-work go smoothly. We could not have started this Flip for Education on time without their help.
Our thanks for help with this 72 hour Flip for Education’s pre-work goes out to:
